Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

Try this basic strawberry smoothie recipe, I know you'll find it irresistible tasty and pretty easy to make. Then you can go ahead and start experimenting with different foods you like to make your own. Sounds fun huh? It is :-).

Strawberries are some of the healthiest foods on the planet.  A single cup of strawberries (144 grams) is filled with vitamins C and B6, manganese, fibre, magnesium, potassium, phosphorous, omega-fats, iodine and so many other nutrients. And the good part about it all is that same 144 grams of strawberries only have 46 calories.

This little red heart shaped fruit really helps with repairing damaged cells and tissues and also has great anti-aging properties. It was actually ranked in the top 30 of all foods for it's anti oxidizing properties and when compared to just fruits it's way up the ladder at 4th behind blackberries, cranberries and raspberries. Basic Strawberry Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe bananas (peeled/sliced)
  • 2 cup strawberries (frozen)
  • 1 1/2 packet of vanilla stevia
  • 2 tsp of lemon juice
  • 1 cup of water
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. First we'll add the juices and water to a high speed blender.
  2. Next add in the bananas and blend until smooth.
  3. Then add in the strawberries and ice.
  4. Blend at medium speed for 15-20 seconds or until you achieve the desired consistency..
  5. Enjoy. :-)

Blueberry Strawberry Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 6 oz coconut milk yogurt
  • 1/2 cup soy milk
  • 1/2 cup blueberries

Method

This is really simple... just add all the ingredients to a blender and blend for a few seconds until you have the desired consistence. The coconut milk yogurt and blueberries really  brings out some extra flavours in this recipe, it's just a wholesome blend of goodness.

Protein Strawberry shake

Ingredients

  • 2 cup strawberries (frozen)
  • 1/2 cup cashews (or peanuts)
  • 2 tbsp coconut milk
  • 6 dates, pitted and soaked
  • 1 packet vanilla stevia
  • 1 cup of water
  • 10 ice cubes

Method

  1. Add everything to blender except the strawberries and ice cubes. Blend until creamy.
  2. Now add in your berries and ice and blend until you have your desired consistency.
