Amazing Grape Smoothies

Grape smoothies are all deliciously good for you. Grapes are a good source of anti-oxidants and phytonutrients which are believed to play a role in longevity ( eat them for healthier/younger body as you age).

Grapes are also really sweet, so sweet that you don't even need additional sweeteners to make these smoothie recipes (seriously no sweeteners). But despite being so sweet, grapes actually have a low Glycemic Index  (between 43-45). Because of this better blood sugar balance, better insulin regulation, and increased insulin sensitivity have now been connected with the intake of grape juices, grape extracts, and individual phytonutrients found in grapes.

You know what the best part is? You don't need to drink wine to get the juicy benefits of grapes.... just make a smoothie. Speaking of juicy... you don't need a whole lot of other liquids in your smoothie either. Now let's have some fun with grapes.

Blueberry-Grape smoothie

  • 3 cups red grapes
  • 1 pear
  •  2cup blueberries
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 cups of leafy greens (I use fresh baby spinach)
  •  2 medium carrot
  • 1/4 cup coconut water (optional)

Add the coconut milk into your blender first then add all other ingredients to the blender except the leafy greens, then blend for 10-20 seconds. Add in your leafy greens and blend on high speed until smooth. Enjoy..

Banana-Grape Smoothie

  • 2 cups red grapes
